Kirsten Gillibrand's influence grows
Over at Buzzfeed today there's an article highlighting how Kirsten Gillibrand is using her formidable fundraising ability, public support, and mentoring to draw her preferred candidates into political races across the country -- women, especially. Says KG: "To me it's a call to action. It's asking women to participate in politics. To vote to become advocates on the issues they care about, to run for office [and] if they don't want to run for office to find women candidates they share values with that they can support." And of course, every candidate she helps get elected become a potential ally, widening Gillibrand's network of influence. [Buzzfeed]
