Drawing: The God Game + Merry Monk

CapRep The God Game Perry and Lau

Yvonne Perry and Laurence Lau play the political couple at the center of The God Game.

Drawing's closed!

Capital Rep opens its production of The God Game today. The new play, written by Suzanne Bradbeer, is about the role of religion in politics and the private lives of politicians. From the description:

When he's tapped to serve as the running mate for a conservative Presidential candidate, Tom's life takes a major turn.
A popular, moderate Senator, he would add balance and appeal to the ticket. There's just one little hitch: he needs to sound just a bit more Christian. Trouble is, Tom is an agnostic, who thinks religion is a private matter, not to be mingled with public life or politics. His devout Christian wife, Lisa, will stand by her man, as long as he doesn't lie on the campaign trail just to get the job.

We have a pair tickets to an upcoming performance -- and a $50 gift card to the Merry Monk, across the street from Cap Rep -- and we're giving them away. Maybe to you.

To enter the drawing, please answer this question in the comments:

What would be a good title for a play about something in the Capital Region?

It could be anything: a spin on an existing play -- Barefoot in Washington Park, The Importance of Being Erastus, Glenville Glen Ross -- or something totally new. We'll pick one winner at random.

Please note: The tickets were are giving away are for the May 17 performance.

Capital Rep's production of The God Game runs through May 25. Tickets are $20 and up.

Important: All comments must be submitted by 5 pm on Wednesday, May 7, 2014 to be entered in the drawing. You must answer the question to be part of the drawing. (Normal commenting guidelines apply.) One entry per person, please. You must enter a valid email address (that you check regularly) with your comment. The winner will be notified via email by 10 am on Thursday, May 8 and must respond by 10 am on Friday, May 9.
