Phantom of the Opera
Wednesday: A new touring version of a re-imagined production of The Phantom of the Opera starts a run at Proctors. (Here's an interview with the producer about ways the production has evolved.) The show will be at Proctors through June 8. various times - $25 and up
Classes
Pasta
Wednesday: There's a hands-on class about making pasta at Gio Culinary Studio. "Students will learn to create four distinct hand-made pasta shapes, along with sauces." Wednesday 6:15 pm - $60
Canning
Wednesday: Christina Davis will be leading < a href="http://www.healthylivingmarket.com/event/do-it-yourself-with-christina-davis-water-bath-canning/">her popular waterbath canning class at Healthy Living Market. "We'll discuss basic pickle and compote recipes that can be used for just about anything under the sun; then, we'll take some time to focus on food safety and proper technique so you can be confident that you're canning safely." Gardening
Wednesday and Thursday: Capital District Community Gardens has two gardening classes lined up in Troy -- "Soil Health and Building" on Wednesday, and "Gardening Planning & Gardening for Beginners" on Thursday. both classes start at 5:30 pm - $5, registration required
Dave Matthews Band
Friday-Saturday: Dave Matthews Band will be back at SPAC for two nights of shows (with two sets each night). That also usually means big crowds in and around Saratoga Springs. 7 pm - $75.00 / $40.50 lawn
