The Phantom of the Opera continues its run at Proctors this week.

Here are a few things to keep in mind, look forward to, or keep busy with this week, from the weather (it's June), to Phantom, to mummies, to Mountain Jam, to Art on Lark, to music...

Weather

Here's the paraphrased forecast for this week:
Monday: Sunny and 85.
Tuesday: Cloudy, rain in the afternoon, maybe some thunderstorms. Low 80s.
Wednesday: Some sun, maybe some showers and a thunderstorm. Low 80s.
Thursday: Cloudy, 50-50 chance of rain, 75.
Friday: Sunny and 77.
Weekend: And so on.

Phantom of the Opera

Monday-Sunday: The new touring version of a re-imagined production of The Phantom of the Opera continues its run at Proctors. (Here's an interview with the producer about ways the production has evolved.) It closes Sunday. various times - $25 and up

Mummies

This is the last week for the Mystery of the Albany Mummies exhibit at the Albany Institute. The exhibit is based on a new research into the backgrounds of the two Egyptian mummies in the museum's collection. It closes on Sunday. (By the way: Thursday evening the museum is free admission, and there will be gallery tours.)

Capital Pride

Thursday: Capital Pride starts its week-and-a-half series of events. There are multiple events over that span. The big pride parade and festival is not this Saturday, but next (June 14).

Art on Lark

Looking ahead to the weekend: The Art on Lark festival returns Saturday. Lark Street will be closed between Madison and Washington for displays from local artists and musicians.

Mountain Jam

Thursday-Sunday: The Mountain Jam festival returns to Hunter Mountain. Headliners this year include: Allman Brothers Band, Bob Weir & Ratdog, Gov't Mule, Pretty Lights, The Avett Brothers, Tedeschi Trucks Band, Damian Marley, and Jeff Tweedy. But the whole schedule is many artists deep (and it includes Sean Rowe.) many different types of tickets, multi-day and single day

Music

Monday: The Bastille show at Upstate Concert Hall is sold out (and has been for some time).

Monday: Spanish Gold at Vapor
Rock. A free show thanks to EQX and a beer company. With: Wild Adriatic, Northern Faces. 7:30 pm - free

Monday: The Firs at The Low Beat
With: Carousel, Careers. 8 pm

Tuesday: Skrillex at Washington Ave Armory
Big EDM DJ/producer. With: DJ Snake, Milo & Otis, What So Not. 7 pm - $49.50 and up

Thursday: Tuesday: Celtic Woman at The Palace
More than one woman, actually. 7 pm - $42 and up

Wednesday: Living Color at the ESP
The first At The Plaza event of the season. With: Sister Sparrow and the Dirty Birds, MIRK. 5 pm - free

Texas singer/songwriter. With: The Bottle Rockets. 7:30 pm - $28
