PechaKucha back at TVCOG

PechaKucha Troy Albany Schenectady logoThe area's PechaKucha series returns this evening (Tuesday)* at the Tech Valley Center of Gravity in Troy. The theme: "The Tao of Tech, Take Two." Blurbage:

Andrea Habura advocates for Mad Scientists who build their own machines. Kevin Buckland and SeaChange are challenging climate change with a soon-to-launch flotilla of paper boats. Michael McNeil explains why your intution is trying to kill you. Sean Desiree makes pallet alchemy. Jesse Marshall and his friends chose Troy for an urban adventure in cooperation. Kathy Ceceri makes robots, and learns from them. Robert Hirsch is passionate about Queen Mab. And Mick Cipollo - gritty as always - opens your third eye to the wonders of sand.

It starts at 7 pm and it's free. There will be beer from Brown's and quesadillas from Muddaddy Flats.

PechaKucha? It's a series of quick presentations delivered very quickly -- each presenter gets 20 slides that are shown for 20 seconds each.

* We had the day wrong in a previous listing.

Earlier: Sean Desiree from South End Pallet Works

Say Something!

We'd really like you to take part in the conversation here at All Over Albany. But we do have a few rules here. Don't worry, they're easy. The first: be kind. The second: treat everyone else with the same respect you'd like to see in return. Cool? Great, post away. Comments are moderated so it might take a little while for your comment to show up. Thanks for being patient.

All Over Albany is for interested and interesting people in New York's Capital Region. In other words, it's for you. It's kind of like having a smart, savvy friend who can help you find out what's up. Oh, and our friends call us AOA.
