Streetcar space -> bike space
Touching back on the protected bike lanes conversation... Cleveland is looking at plan to add protected bike lanes in road space formerly used by streetcars (here's a rendering) -- not only creating lanes for bikes, but also potentially helping with storm water runoff through the use of planters as lane barriers. The idea is part of larger plan to create a wide-ranging network of bikes lanes across the Cleveland metro area. [Urbanful] [Cleveland Plain Dealer] [via @InnovationTrail]
