TEDxAlbany 2014 call for speakers

TEDxAlbany logo skylineTEDxAlbany is returning December 4 at Overit Albany. And the call for speaker applications is open. A little bit on what the event is looking for this year from speakers, via one of the organizers, Lisa Barone:

We're looking for topic-driven talks to start conversations important to our community. Whether it's research related to children and nutrition, the state of mental health, the local heroin epidemic or anything else happening within our community - locally or globally. So far we've received pitches about everything from child trafficking in our area to the evolution of the entertainment industry.
What do you think people should be talking about? That's what we want to hear, and all topics are being considered.

If you're interested in speaking, there's a short online form for applying.

TEDxAlbany is a locally-organized, independent event modeled on the popular TED events. The day includes a series of short talks from people in the community about a range of topics.

The Scoop
