Empire Passport sale

New York State Parks has a one-day online sale on Empire Passports today (December 1) -- it's selling the a three-year parks pass for $130, a buy-two-years-get-one-free deal. "Valid through March 31, 2018, the 3-Year Empire Passport will provide holders unlimited vehicle access to 180 state parks, nature centers, recreation areas, boat launch sites, arboretums and park preserves, in addition to 55 forest preserve sites operated by the state Department of Environmental Conservation." (If you frequent state parks, the Empire Passport is the way to go.)

The sale has been extended through Tuesday! If you tried to order earlier today and had problems, give it another shot, apparently some kinks needed to be worked out.
