There are some interesting bits in this long New Yorker profile of Andrew Cuomo by Jeff Toobin. But the most interesting part is probably the overall picture painted of Cuomo, very skilled at playing the angles and competing interests of politics, but not necessarily a fan of a lot of the interpersonal stuff that goes along with being a politician. Writes Toobin: "It's sometimes said of certain politicians that they love humanity but hate people; Andrew Cuomo does not appear especially fond of either. He is the uncommon elected official with a streak of misanthropy." [The New Yorker]
