Pixies, TV on the Radio

Announced today: The Pixies and TV on the Radio will be playing outside at Brewery Ommegang May 22. Tickets go on sale this Friday, Feburary 27 -- they're $45. (There's also a pre-sale starting February 25.)

The Pixies are, of course, one of the most influential alt rock bands ever. One of the bands influenced by the Pixies: TV on the Radio.

Alas, Kim Deal is not part of the lineup for this tour.

Also on the bill for the Ommegang show: John Grant.

Already announced for the 2015 Ommegang concert season: The Avett Brothers, with John Prine, on June 13.

I got so excited about the Pixies until I realized - still no Kim Deal on this tour. A gigantic disappointment.

Black Francis aka Frank Black aka Charles Thompson is a rock icon. Not be missed - got the password from a friend and was able to get my tickets today!

Agreed with Jenna - no Kim Deal, not really the Pixies! Would be cool to see TV on the Radio though.

I frequently find myself along this trail on Sunday mornings, hungry, & very little is open. There's a lot of talk about special mowers & building bathrooms & that's nice, yes, let's do that, certainly. But *right now* people using this trail are hungry & want to buy food & drink (& use the bathroom, as a paying customer): if the businesses that are already there were OPEN it would go a long way to providing amenities & destinations. ...
