NCAA penalties for Syracuse basketball
The NCAA released the results and penalties from its long running investigation of the Syracuse University basketball and football programs. Among the penalties: the loss of three basketball scholarships a year for four years, the suspension of Jim Boeheim for 9 ACC games, and vacating a bunch of wins. Syracuse's chancellor says the school acknowledges some of the violations involving improper benefits and academic misconduct, but continues to dispute other findings in the report. The Post-Standard will be flooding the zone -- and then some -- about all this.
