Fitting into a bathing suit, from the 4 i just bought!

It just happened. Food trucks are back outside the Capitol.

Hoping for a few first asparagus from the asparagus beds I planted last year.

Watching my magnolia tree

I am very much looking forward to Mother's Day. I'll be taking my mother to Five Rivers, as has become tradition, where hopefully we'll see beavers on the Beaver Tree Trail

I am looking forward to getting the zinnias planted so the butterflies will come to visit my garden!

I can't wait for my seedlings to grow and to get roots started for a summer harvest! Time for the snow to melt and the plants to thrive

Opening the windows

Picnicking in the park.

Hiking and biking!

Gardening.

Tulip Fest of course!

Not wearing a coat.

Being able to take a stroll in my neighborhood, without having to wear a heavy coat.

Rollerblading.

Hiking:)

Planting large garden of sugar snap peas for my kids.

Lounging in the park on a blanket!

I'm not sucking up - I asked to go to the MiSci butterfly house for my birthday, which I always count as the beginning of Spring!

But I'll pick another and say basil from my garden.

Grilling various meats.

The first jumping jacks of the season, spring tulips, and sitting outside sipping cocktails on the porch.

I'm looking forward to spending time outdoors; enjoying walks with my dogs, the sunshine (hopefully!) and fishing, especially at Buckingham Pond where you can do all 3! :)

The tulip fest.

Eating dinner outside at Druthers :)

Heading up to the Adirondacks for some hiking and beer!

Watching our bird feeders and the gold finch's while sitting on our back porch.

I'm looking forward to hanging out in my backyard, sipping a cold beer, and grilling some burgers!

Starting a garden at our new house!

TulipFest!

I'm looking forward to Albany coming back alive with the plethora of events that will be happening weekly and more. It always feels so sparse in the winter time as we just grasp on to any little thing to do.

Hiking more ADK high peaks...my 12-year old son and I are at 18 so far and we've loved every encounter with the 'dacks and the people!

I'm looking forward to the community events that make the cap. region so unique: Tulip Fest, farmers markets, bike meet-ups, etc. We're stuck inside all winter and rarely get to run into our neighbors, but these events give us a chance to spend time together.

Volleyball in the park, softball after work, and kayak season!

Picnics in Washington Park!

The Scoop

For a decade All Over Albany was a place for interested and interesting people in New York's Capital Region. It was kind of like having a smart, savvy friend who could help you find out what's up. AOA stopped publishing at the end of 2018.
