"This is the best weekend we've had in years"

Last fall there was a bit of a flurry over the Gideon Putnam becoming the first hotel in the US to offer a "DivorceHotel" weekend. There's a quick update on relax-and-breakup service tucked into a Quartz article this week about "destination divorces" -- Wendy Paris reports there have been about a dozen divorces at the Saratoga hotel through the service since last fall. And here's a New York Post profile of a couple who amicably split there -- and apparently are planning to return (separately) because they liked it so much. [Saratogian] [Quartz] [NY Post]

The Scoop

For a decade All Over Albany was a place for interested and interesting people in New York's Capital Region. It was kind of like having a smart, savvy friend who could help you find out what's up. AOA stopped publishing at the end of 2018.
