A touring production of the musical Mamma Mia! will be at Proctors May 15 and 16. We have a pair of tickets for opening night and we're giving them away. BUT WAIT, THERE'S MORE. The winner will also get a $50 gift certificate for Aperitivo Bistro, which is just down the street from the theater.

To enter the drawing, please answer this question in the comments:

The musical Mamma Mia! was a comeback of sorts for ABBA. So what's something you'd like to see make a comeback in the Capital Region?

We'll pick one winner at random. That person gets the tickets the opening night tickets and the gift certificate.

Mamma Mia! includes ABBA's greatest hits, including "Dancing Queen," "S.O.S.," "Super Trouper," "Take A Chance on Me" and "The Winner Takes It All." The production will be at Proctors for three performances: May 15 at 8 pm, and May 16 at 1 pm and 7 pm. Tickets are $20 and up.

Important: All comments must be submitted by 11:59 pm on Thursday, May 7, 2015 to be entered in the drawing. You must answer the question to be part of the drawing. I want to see Platt's Place on Wolf road reborn! Who else remembers that restaurant?

The original Quintessence. Great omelettes with fresh orange juice in the morning and wonderful spinach noodles with dressing to kill for.

I've been watching the progress of Hoffman's Playland relocation and it's making me nervous. I hope it comes back bigger and better than ever!

I'd love to see a further revival of small shops, cafes and restaurants along a thriving Central Ave, Lark Street, downtown, etc.

The return of the Uncle Sam Atrium in Troy would nice.

First Night Albany!

I'd love to see the Empire State Games come back!!

I'd love to see the Aquaducks come back - I was counting on them for a post retirement tour guide gig.

A vibrant downtown Albany.

I know it will never come back, but I sure do miss Saratoga Winners.

I'd love to see the concerts at the lakehouse in Washington Park make a comeback!

The Aquaducks!

I miss Sciortino's Pizzeria next to Wolff's Biergarten. It was a cute hip little diner serving surprisingly tasty Italian food with huge portions for a cheap price. It made for a nice first date and afterwards you could get drinks at the bars next door.

A second cable provider in the city. There has to have been another option at some point, right?

80s night every Saturday at Fuze Box!

Mangia

Shades of Green on Lark Street! So good....

I miss the old downtown parking system of running out of your office every 1.5 hours to move your car five spaces. The meters took all the fun out of the parking game!

Shades of Green!

Monday Night Concerts in Washington Park.

I'd like to see a grocery store, a book store and a hardware store come back to downtown Albany.

How about "please" and "thank you?" Where have people's basic manners gone to?

Dali Mama's!

Since this is a Schenectady giveaway I say Tuesday in the Park at Central Park!

Aquaducks. Wine n' Diner. The Thacher Park pool w/high dive. Gimme! Gimme! Gimme!

I'll take the team name of "River Rats" over "Devils" any day.

mastodons

I'd *Love* to see a comeback of downtowns without pay-to-park meters. I'm especially looking at you, Troy.

Affordable ice cream cones -- some places charge $4 and up for a cone! Add insult to injury and charge 75 cents for sprinkles!! What's a girl to do?? I guess an ice cream cone is a meal, not a snack :-)

Aqua ducks..cranberry bog and cinnamon tree restaurants

Miss Albany Diner!

Weather like today's all summer long!

Roller skating car-hops at Mike's Hamburgers in Troy!

Streetcars ....

In the hopes that if it gets said enough times it will happen: Shades of Green.

Fuddruckers

I'd love to see an arcade, 80s style, make a comeback.

Arena Football

I'd really like to see Ponderosa Steakhouse come back!

Summer time!

Platt's Place

Eammon's Irish Pub.....that was the ultimate in what a real Irish pub was...of course I would want Eammon McGirr there too!!!

Blottoween at JB Scott's!

Spring. I'd like a little Spring between my Winter and Summer temps!

Monday night concert series in Washington Park!

Pearl St.

I would like to see clotheslines make a come back. A simple, eco-friendly way to dry clothing that takes people outside. More neighbor interaction? Lower gas or electric bills. Sounds good to me!

Either Quintessence or Miss Albany Diner

Say Something!

We'd really like you to take part in the conversation here at All Over Albany. But we do have a few rules here. Don't worry, they're easy. The first: be kind. The second: treat everyone else with the same respect you'd like to see in return. Cool? Great, post away. Comments are moderated so it might take a little while for your comment to show up. Thanks for being patient.
