Monday: A live stage show from the popular Welcome to Night Vale podcast will be at The Egg. The podcast is about the ongoing strange happenings in a small town:

WELCOME TO NIGHT VALE is a twice-monthly podcast in the style of community updates for the small desert town of Night Vale, featuring local weather, news, announcements from the Sheriff's Secret Police, mysterious lights in the night sky, dark hooded figures with unknowable powers, and cultural events. Monday: The Front Parlor storytelling series is back at The Olde English in Albany. This month's theme is "untold stories." Monday 7:30 pm

Cooking

Sushi
Monday: Yasuo and Kathy Saso will be at Different Drummer's Kitchen leading a hands-on class about making sushi. "Every student will have their own work station to learn the art of sushi." Monday 6 pm - $65

Bacon
Tuesday: Gio Culinary Studio has a class about making bacon. "Students will learn how to create 3 different types of delicious cured bacon, using readily available ingredients!" Tuesday 6:15 pm - $65

Warehouse District tour

Wednesday: Historic Albany Foundation's "Walkabout Wednesdays" series has a tour of Albany's Warehouse District lined up. Blurbage:

From a piano factory to Nipper, from a Silk City Diner to a utilitarian warehouse with Italian Renaissance flourishes designed by Marcus T. Reynolds, from the longest-surviving iron and steel company in Albany to an automobile-age International Harvester truck showroom, join us for a tour of industrial buildings in the area that separates downtown Albany from the North Albany neighborhood.

Wednesday 5:30 pm at Broadway and North Ferry - $10 (reservations required)

Hidden garden tour

Thursday: The annual hidden garden tour returns to Troy. The self-guided walking tour offers a look into backyard gardens in the neighborhoods around Washington Park. Proceeds benefit the Friends of Prospect Park. (There's also be a dinner benefit for the org at Carmen's that evening from 6-8:30 pm -- it's $33 for a prix fixe menu.) Thursday 4-7:30 pm - $10 (rain or shine)
