New York Capital District Renaissance Festival joust

The New York Capital District Renaissance Festival returns for a second year at Indian Ladder Farms this weekend. Blurbage:

The New York Capital District Renaissance Festival, a two day event, will feature over 30 craft and food vendors, and more than a dozen acts on five stages. Entertainment includes performances involving sword play, Shakespearean acting and musical acts. Special programming for children include: A Pirate Initiation Ceremony; The Princess and the Pea Mashup Puppet Show; and Dragons and Dreams science show, and more. A royal joust will be held twice each day.

Not just any old joust -- a royal joust.

The festival is this Saturday and Sunday (June 13 and 14) 11 am-6 pm. Pre-event tickets are $10 adults / $3.50 for kids (ages 3-12) -- they're $12 for adults, $5 for kids day of (and free for kids 2 and under).

As mentioned, last year was the first year for the festival in Altamont. If you attended, we're curious to hear how it was.
