Swimming at Thompsons Lake! Love to take the kid there and enjoy the sun, sand and water!

Try to enjoy it and not long for the first crisp morning of autumn...

My local must do list is to spend as much time outdoors. Summer goes by so quickly and I want to enjoy every minute of it here in Albany. I'm planning a day trip to Cooperstown, visit the NYS museum, eat BBQ from the food trucks and go swimming in Lake George and at the local parks.

It's not a summer without at least one boating excursion on Lake George.

I will be spending as many weekends as possible on The Great Sacandaga Lake.

swim holes, and food trucks. I'm loving fork in the road!

Lots and lots of quality family time at Cherry Plain State Park!

Hit Jumpin Jacks as many times as possible for an ice cream cone!

Snowman ice cream

laying in a hammock in the shade and feeling the breeze

Hike, kayak, and camp as much as possible :)

Most definitely camping. Starting on the July 4th weekend in Watkins Glen -- one of the nicest places on this planet.

A must do for every summer is a trip to Samascott for berry picking. This year is going to be especially awesome, now that we have discovered the art of making shrub. We've already got a strawberry rhubarb mash going from last weeks haul.

To check out some new state parks!

Get that Ethiopian platter you just featured, damn'it!

Definitely the Track in Saratoga, Alive at 5 in Albany, and camping in Lake George.

Hike a few high peaks. A must do every summer

Custard from Shake Shack at the Saratoga racetrack, July 4th picnic at Hudson-Jay Park, and a day in the sun at Million Dollar Beach in Lake George!

- Berry picking this weekend

Still to do:
- Day at the Racetrack
- Beach day at Moreau Lake

Day trip to the track! I didn't go last year and missed it. I am never into going all day but heading up there for a few races makes me appreciate not having to work there during the summer anymore.

biking along the Hudson, coffee milkshakes from Gene's Fish Fry, and the best people-watching at the Troy Farmers Market!

Track day at Saratoga!

renting paddle boards on saratoga lake and going for a morning jaunt! Then having Hatties fried chicken after and a beer with my loving wife.

The beach at Grafton for a lazy day.

Ice cream at Moxie's!

Gin and tonics at the Adelphi in Saratoga, which for yet another summer won't happen because the "developers" are too busy developing the charm out of the building inch by inch.

Jack burgers at jumping jacks with my wife and dog.
