ommegang beer cafe

A tall, frosty glass of art and science.

Drawing's closed! Winner's been emailed!

There is science behind everything, including beer. This week miSci in Schenectady is offering a chance to explore the science of brewing and taste the resulting beer. And AOA is giving away a pair of tickets.

To enter, just answer this question in the comments of this post:

What is something you'd like to do before the summer is over?

MiSci's Science of Brewing event is Thursday, July 23 from 6 pm to 8 pm. Brewers from Brown's, Brewery Ommegang, Nine Pin Cider Works, Wolf Hollow Brewing and other local brewers will offer samples. There will also be food, music, and a chance to check out some of the museum exhibits. Tickets are still available and are $35 in advance and $40 at the door.

Important: All comments must be submitted by noon on Tuesday, July 21, 2015 to be entered in the drawing. You must answer the question to be part of the drawing. (Normal commenting guidelines apply.) One entry per person, please. You must enter a valid email address (that you check regularly) with your comment. The winner will be notified via email by 5 pm on Tuesday and must respond by noon on Wednesday.

All Over Albany is a media sponsor of miSci's Science of Brewing event.

Climb a high peak!

I would like to go to more historic sites and museums. There are so much history in this area that I've been missing out on and I need to correct this!

I want to finally hike Vroman's Nose and explore more of the trails at Thacher.

Before the summer is over I would like to visit The Track and Thatcher State Park. Kurver Kreme is also on the list.

I'd like to kayak and camp at least once!

go backpacking.

Go to a concert at SPAC. And the Victoria Pool!

Walk to Jumpin Jacks and a movie at the Scotia Cinema

Learn to paddle board

I'm hoping to finally get in an Adirondack weekend-long backpacking trip! Time to start really narrowing down some routes :)

Go paddle boarding on Saratoga lake........ still need to

Take the kids back to Glimmerglass for the day!

Not think that "the summer is over" :)

Attend one of the many outdoor music events that are happening!

Visit Saratoga Race Track. I've lived in Albany for the past 5 years and I still have never visited.

Go on a camping trip in the Adirondacks

Get married! (Sept 6th)

I want to go to the track in Saratoga!

I'd like to pick blueberries.

Keep up my meditative breathing practice, and resolve to work directly for a resolution to one long term goal, like a will so i can return to dust in the wind. Jaded i know, but Jade is semi precious.

Really relax in the sun. No gardening. No yard work. Just relax.
