Sawing in the night
Over at the New York Times there's a detailed account of how David Sweat and Richard Matt found their escape from the Clinton Correctional Facility -- it's based on Sweat's alleged statements to investigators, and attributed to "several people briefed on his account." Sweat reportedly had been working on the escape since January -- it took him more than a month to cut the steam pipe (with a hacksaw) through which the inmates got through the prison's outside wall.
