Interpol is set to do its thing at Upstate Concert Hall this week.

The Track

It's the first full week of the new season at the Saratoga Race Course. Wednesday is College Day -- there's free grandstand admission for college students with pre registration. There will also be various activities including "Giant Beer Pong" and "Giant Jenga." And, of course, there is no racing on Tuesday.

Baseball

Tuesday: The Tri-City ValleyCats open a six-game home stand at The Joe with a three-game series against West Virginia. Then Mahoning Valley is in for a three-game series over the weekend. Promotions this week include a bat giveaway, Italian night, Medieval Times night, and post-game fireworks.

Stage

WTF
The Williamstown Theatre Festival continues its production of Paradise Blue, starring Blair Underwood, De'Adre Aziza, and Andre Holland. And the new musical Unknown Soldier opens later this week.

Murder for Two
Capital Rep continues its production of Murder for Two -- "a hilarious musical murder mystery with a twist: one actor investigates the crime, the other plays all of the suspects and they both play the piano." Tuesday-Sunday various times - $20 and up

History tours

Woodside
Tuesday: The Rensselaer County Historical Society's "Hidden History" tour series will be at the CAC Woodside in Troy for a tour the former church-turned-arts center. Tuesday 4:30 pm - $15

Shaker barns
The Shaker sites around the area will be offering barn tours this week as part of a collaborative program related to the State Museum's ongoing Shaker exhibit. Mount Lebanon's Great Stone Barn will be open for touring on Friday (2 pm - $10). The Shaker Heritage Society's 1915 Church Family Barn will be open Saturday (2 pm - $10). And Hancock Shaker Village's Round Stone Barn will be open Sunday (2 pm - free with regular admission).

Schoharie County Sunshine Fair

Looking ahead to the weekend: The Schoharie County Sunshine Fair opens Saturday at the fairgrounds in Cobleskill and runs through the following weekend.
