The food trucks are back in Albany's Tricentennial Park for Friday's Fork in the Road Friday evening.

There is no shortage of fun stuff to do in the Capital Region this weekend -- from food trucks and fairs to summer shows and concerts, to baseball and blueberries. It all depends on what you're in the mood to try.

1st Friday
Friday: It's 1st Friday in Albany, so shops and galleries will be open late with art and events. A few things happening:

+ Art Space Invaders part II. Last week The Machine invaded Troy's Argyle Gallery for TNO and this week Argyle Gallery will share their work at The Machine Coop.
+ Albany Center Gallery has a new show called Human Essence featuring photos by Michael P. Farrell, Stephen Honicki and Brian Williams.
+ Upstate Artists Guild has a landscape show called I Can See For Miles and Miles. They're also doing face painting for all ages.
+The Albany Institute is open late with free admission from 5 pm to 8 pm.

Food trucks
Friday: The popular Fork in the Road food truck event returns to Tricentennial Park in downtown Albany (the once-a-month event had skipped July because of the Fourth of July). Friday 4-8 pm

Downtown Albany Residential Open House
Friday: Eight downtown Albany residential properties will be open for touring as part of the Downtown Albany Residential Open House. Friday 4-7 pm - free admission (check in at Tricentennial Park)

The Track
The season continues at Saratoga Race Course. Saturday is headlined by The Whitney.

Philadelphia Orchestra
Friday/Saturday: The Philadelphia Orchestra continues its stay at SPAC this weekend. Friday's program is "An evening with Yo-Yo Ma." And Saturday's program is a multimedia performance of soundtracks from Pixar movies. The orchestra will be at SPAC through August 22.

Schoharie County Sunshine Fair
Friday/Saturday: The Schoharie County Sunshine Fair closes its run at the fairgrounds in Cobleskill on Saturday.

Rodeo
Friday/Saturday: The Double M Rodeo in Ballston Spa continues its new season. Friday and Saturday 8 pm - $15 / $5 for ages 5-12.

Stage

WTF
Friday-Sunday: The Williamstown Theatre Festival continues its productions of the new musical Unknown Soldier and Moon for the Misbegotten, starring Audra McDonald and Will Swenson.

Berkshire Theater Festival
The Berkshire Theater Festival presents productions of Terrance McNally's Frankie and Johnny in the Clair de Lune (directed by Karen Allen), and the world premiere of the "funny and poignant new drama" I Saw My Neighbor on the A Train, and I Didn't Even Smile. The production of the new musical The Club closes this weekend.

Murder for Two
Friday-Sunday: This is the last week for Capital Rep's production of Murder for Two -- "a hilarious musical murder mystery with a twist: one actor investigates the crime, the other plays all of the suspects and they both play the piano." Friday-Sunday various times - $20 and up

Pajama Game
Friday-Sunday: Park Playhouse in Albany continues its August production, The Pajama Game. It runs through August 22. Friday-Sunday 7:30 pm - lawn seating is free / reserved seats are $16 and $18

Rent
Friday-Sunday: The Local Actors Guild of Saratoga presents Jonathan Larson's Rent in the Dee Sarno Theater at the Saratoga Arts Council Building. Friday and Saturday at 8pm, Sunday at 2pm - $20

The Comedy of Errors
Friday/Saturday: Saratoga Shakespeare presents The Comedy of Errors this weekend at the Suzanne Corbet Thomas Amphitheater at Skidmore College. Friday and Saturday at 6pm - free

Shipwrecked
Friday-Sunday: Saratoga Shakespeare presents a production of Shipwrecked, Donald Margulies' play about the adventurous Louis de Rougemont's 19th century shipwreck experience that "examines how far we're willing to blur the line between fact and fiction in order to leave our mark on the world." Performances are at the Skidmore College Blackbox Theater. Friday and Saturday at 8pm, Saturday and Sunday at 2pm - $15 / $20

Robin Hood and the King's Ransom
Friday-Sunday: Ten Broeck Mansion hosts a Confetti Stage production of Robin Hood and the King's Ransom in the gardens at Ten Broeck. Friday and Saturday at 7:30pm, Sunday at 2pm - $15 / $8 for children & students.

Shakespeare in Lincoln Park
Friday-Sunday: Steamer 10 presents a production of Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream in Albany's Lincoln Park. Friday and Saturday at 7pm, Sunday at 3pm - free

Film

Ballston Spa Film Festival
Friday/Saturday: The annual Ballston Spa Film Festival returns. Short films from around the region and the world will be screened at Ballston Spa High School and Old Iron Spring Park. There are also after-parties at the Brookside Museum. Friday and Saturday screenings start at 7 pm and 9 pm - free admission

Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection F
Saturday: The Spectrum is screening Dragon Ball Z,:Resurrection F, the second film in the Dragon Ball anime series.Saturday 4 pm - $10.25

Princess Bride
Friday-Sunday: The Bow Tie in Saratoga Springs is screening The Princess Bride as its Friday/Saturday insomnia theater feature and their Saturday and Sunday morning Movies and Mimosa classic.

<Round Lake Arts & Crafts Festival
Saturday/Sunday: The annual Round Lake Arts & Crafts Festival returns to the village this weekend. Saturday 9am to 5pm / Sunday 8am to 4pm - free admission

Comic Jam
Saturday: The Troy Public Library main location hosts a comic jam with artist Ira Marcks. A comic jam is a collaborative comic workshops for artists of all ages and skills. You can collaborate on an existing work or develop your own. No previous experience is necessary. Saturday 10 am to 1 pm - free but registration is required.

Saratoga Polo
Friday/Sunday: The Saratoga Polo season continues with matches on Friday and Sunday evenings at Whitney Field, just outside of Saratoga Springs. Friday and Sunday. Matches begin at 5:30pm - $15 and up

Baseball
Sunday: The Tri-City ValleyCats take on the Lowell Spinners at Joe Bruno Stadium. Sunday at 5pm - $5.75 and up

Swim

Swimming pools
Municipal pools continue their season this weekend. Here's a list.

Beach
The beaches at Moreau Lake State Park and Grafton Lakes State Park continue their season. Or you could try the beach at Cherry Plain State Park.

Museums

The Late Drawings of Andy Warhol
The Hyde Collection continues its exhibit featuring some of Andy Warhol's drawings created between 1973 to 1987, one of Warhol's most prolific periods. Many of the drawings are on view to the public for the first time. (On display through through September 27.)

Van Gogh and Whistler
The Clark recently opened a Van Gogh exhibit focused on his paintings of nature. The exhibit runs through September 13.

Also at The Clark: Whistler's Mother: Grey, Black, and White. "The painting serves as the centerpiece of the exhibition Whistler's Mother: Grey, Black, and White, which also features a selection of Whistler's prints and drawings, Japanese woodblock prints that inspired the artist, and ephemera that explore the image's role in popular culture." It's on display through September 27.

Troy Flea
Sunday: Troy Flea has a craft market every Sunday through October 4 in Riverfront Park. Sunday 11 am to 4 pm - free admission

Blueberries
We're in the thick of the local blueberry season. Here are a handful of places around the region where you can pick your own. (Be sure to call ahead or check the farms' websites for conditions before heading out.)

Farmers' markets
Capital Region farmers' markets are outdoors:
+ The Troy Waterfront Farmers Market will be on River Street Saturday from 9 am-2 pm.
+ The Saratoga Farmers' Market will be in High Rock Park. Saturday from 9 am-1 pm
+ The Delmar Farmers Market is open for the season at Bethlehem Central Middle School. Saturday 9 am-1 pm
+ The Colonie Farmers Market is at the Crossings. Saturday from 9 am-1 pm
+ The Schenectady Greenmarket will be around Schenectady City Hall. Sunday from 10 am-2 pm.
+ The Spa City Farmers' Market will be outside the Lincoln Baths Sunday from 10 am-3 pm
