Farther afield: Earlier this year the Washington Post interviewed Ithaca mayor Svante Myrick (who happens to be 27) and touched on a bunch of topics that pop up here: cars, walkability, zoning, tax breaks, and agriculture. Ithaca is, obviously, a different sort of apple compared to many places in the Capital Region, but the discussion of those topics sounds very familiar. [WP]

Not only did the discussion of those topics sounds very familiar, his answers for the most part were very refreshing.
