Drawing: Yo La Tengo at Troy Music Hall + Brown's Brewing gift certificate

yo la tengo 2015

Drawing's closed! Winner's been emailed!

Revered indie band Yo La Tengo will be at the Troy Music Hall September 23. We have a pair of tickets and we're giving them away.

BUT WAIT. There's more: We're also tossing in a $50 gift certificate to Brown's Brewing Co. in Troy.

To enter the drawing, please answer this question in the comments:

The name "Yo La Tengo" comes from an anecdote about outfielders on the baseball field yelling out the Spanish phrase -- which means "I've got it!" -- on fly balls. So, this fall what's something local that you're calling out a claim on?

It could be cider donuts, a weekend somewhere, whatever. We'll draw one winner at random.

The Yo La Tengo show at the Troy Music Hall is Wednesday, September 23 at 8 pm. Tickets are $27 and $34. Takk House is hosting a pre-show party for all Yo Le Tengo ticket holders with a cash cocktail bar by Albany Distilling Co and music provided by DJ Trumaster.

Important: All comments must be submitted by 11:59 pm on Thursday, September 17, 2015 to be entered in the drawing. You must answer the question to be part of the drawing. (Normal commenting guidelines apply.) One entry per person, please. You must enter a valid email address (that you check regularly) with your comment. The winner will be notified via email by noon on Friday and must respond by noon on Monday, September 21.

The Scoop
