"I just remember thinking you and your dad were sweet and it was a bummer to read that"

The plot: Kid film critic -- and Capital Region native -- Jackson Murphy gets a photo taken with Amy Schumer at an awards show in LA. Murphy then tweets the photo with a lame attempt at a joke about spending the night with Schumer. And then Amy Schumer shuts him down. (Murphy took down the tweet and issued an apology, which Schumer magnanimously accepted.) [NYDN] [@amyschumer]

It's so satisfying to see someone shutdown that obnoxious twerp. Don't forget the racist tweet he sent to Chiwetel Ejiofor.

Could this kid please, please, please get his fame pass revoked already? Or has he already and can only hang onto his 15 minutes by 'mistakenly' posting something offensive once a year to garner attention?

I don't care how old he gets, I'll always think of his reviews as coming from the little 10 year old exclaiming 'Films I don't understand deserve to be reviewed poorly!' A glance at his site shows he's still doing it: 'Pixels' (maybe the worst-reviewed movie of the year) rates higher or equal to every Best Picture nominee except one.

The Scoop

For a decade All Over Albany was a place for interested and interesting people in New York's Capital Region. It was kind of like having a smart, savvy friend who could help you find out what's up. AOA stopped publishing at the end of 2018.
