Drawing's closed!

PostSecret: The Show -- a stage show based on the popular web project -- will be at Proctors this weekend. And we have a pair of tickets to give away. BUT WAIT, THERE'S MORE. The drawing winner will also get a $25 gift card for Cafe NOLA in downtown Schenectady.

To enter the drawing, please answer this question in the comments:

What is your secret super power?

Everybody has some odd skill or talent. Maybe it's something job-related, like you're the only person at your company who can get that certain piece of equipment to work the right way. Or maybe it's something random, like you're really good at guessing a person's age. Or whatever -- could be big, could be small, could be goofy. You can interpret this pretty much however you want.

We'll select the winner at random. That person will get two tickets to the Friday, January 29 PostSecret show at Proctors, along with the Cafe NOLA gift card.

Here's some blurbage for the show:

With original music, recorded voices, projected images, and video, PostSecret: The Show becomes an immersive experience as three actors guide the audience through a crowd-sourced narrative of the stories behind some of the most sexual, sad, funny and controversial - many of which have never been seen before.

The Friday show at Proctors is at 7 pm. There are also two shows scheduled for Saturday, and one for Sunday.

Cafe NOLA is at 617 Union Street in downtown Schenectady. It New Orleans-inspired menu including po' boys, etouffee, fried chicken, crabcakes, jambalaya, shrimp and grits, pulled pork, smoked ribs and chicken, dirty rice, vegan options, gumbo, and alligator bites.

Important: All comments must be submitted by 5 pm on Thursday, January 28, 2016 to be entered in the drawing. You must answer the question to be part of the drawing. (Normal commenting guidelines apply.) One entry per person, please. You must enter a valid email address (that you check regularly) with your comment. The winner will be notified via email by 7 pm on Thursday and must respond by noon on Friday, January 29.

People say I offer the best hugs sure to brighten anyone's day. The ability to bring comfort and happiness is definitely a superpower.

I can navigate my way through any crowd. Concerts, Times Square, outdoor events etc. Also helps that I'm 5 feet tall and smile a lot.

I can look at a list of 200 ingredients on a food package and pick out even the most obscure animal product in less than a second.

My secret super power is being able to know what people ate based on what they smell like. For example someone who just ate a flavorful dish, I can usually name it. Someone can talk to me or pass gas and I can get it right. Pretty disgusting but it's my talent. I created a game around called, "Name that smell". My wife and I play it on roadtrips.

I can sit alone in silence and not get bored.

I have the superpower of being able to silence screaming babies in stores. I give them this look and they just stop.

If I told you, it wouldn't be a secret.

Being able to reach the thing on top of the thing when no one else is able to.

procrastination

I may have boasted of this before, but I can take a collection of disparate ingredients from my fridge and make a slamming meal out of them!

My super secret power is my memory with fashion. I can remember an outfit someone wore a year ago...

I'm a cat whisperer.

I can tell if someone is lying.

I can find a great parking space in a crowded mall lot...especially during the holidays!!

friendliness

I'm not always punctual, but I'm decent at planning.

People say I rhyme real well,
Comes naturally…best I can tell !
Write them a limerick for a card,
I find it easy…ain’t that hard.
SUPER POWER…I don’t know,
BUT…it may win me tickets to the show.

My superpower is keeping others from being bitten by mosquitoes. All I have to do is stand within 5 feet of people and the mosquitoes come bite me and leave the other people alone.

I'm super good at posting on message boards

I can eat a DeFazio's pizza in a single sitting!

Being able to detect and identify random ingredients in wine and beer.

Being able to see through people's BS.

Master at Rubber Pencil Illusion! Co-worker initially convinced I

I have the super power of always forgetting my leftovers at restaurants.

I see dead people.

My superpower is googling people. Whenever my friends meet someone through online dating they have me vet them. Be careful what you put out there on the web...

Invisible hair!

You WANT to KNOW? It is the POWER OF MASS IRRITATION!

I can wrangle 10 5-year-olds at the same time!

My superpower is my magnetic ability to attract the nuttiest person at the bar into coming over and starting a conversation with me. My favorite was the time the guy with one eyebrow told me the Troy Uncle Sams were "turning his words into water."

I can make my wife become irritated in mere seconds!

I can ricochet rubber bands off the ceiling to drop on a coworker. Playing the angles without hurting anyone.

I have an acute, weird capacity to know when milk will go bad, one to two days before. Other people will say "it's fine," and I'll know it's two days to sour.

I'm a superb parallel parker.

The Scoop

For a decade All Over Albany was a place for interested and interesting people in New York's Capital Region. It was kind of like having a smart, savvy friend who could help you find out what's up. AOA stopped publishing at the end of 2018.
