Summer, it is out there: Lake Street Dive will be playing a show at Brewery Ommegang May 28. Also on the bill: Sharon Jones and The Dap Kings. Tickets go on sale this Friday, February 19 -- they're $40.
Lake Street Dive has a new album out this week. From the Boston Globe: "They blend elements from Motown, classic soul, and British Invasion rock into a winning sound that's high-energy and highly musical." The group played a sold-out show at Helsinki Hudson last September.
Sharon Jones and Dap Kings have been through here a few times -- most recently at The Egg back in December. They released a holiday album -- It's a Holiday Soul Party -- last year.
