Capital District Grown Up Easter Egg Hunt 2016

Capital District Grownup Egg Hunt

The annual Capital District Grown Up Easter Egg Hunt is set to return April 3 in Troy's Prospect Park. Tickets for the hunt are available online -- they're $11.50 (tickets at the event will be $12).

How's it work? Hundreds of plastic eggs are spread out to be found in a section of the park, and inside the eggs there's some sort of prize -- candy, or a voucher for some item from a local business.

New this year, there will also be a hunt in downtown Troy: "In the past, the hill in the park has caused difficulties for some, so we have decided to split the Egg Hunt up between Prospect Park and downtown Troy! Your favorite Troy businesses will have eggs hidden within, for you to find and cash in for prizes!" Egg hunters are asked to sign up for one of the hunt location, not both.

Proceeds from the hunt go to charities, this year the Troy Savings Bank Music Hall, the Gabby Rocco Let It Shine Foundation, and Pints for Prostates.

Registration for the hunt starts at 1 pm on Sunday, April 3. There will be music and food trucks. The egg hunting starts at 2:30 pm.

Adulthood is not that bad, Millenials. Give it a chance and leave the Easter egg hunts to the toddlers.

It's not that bad Ahab, there have only been two fatalities in the past five years. Most fighting concludes with a superficial wound.

We'd really like you to take part in the conversation here at All Over Albany. But we do have a few rules here. Don't worry, they're easy. The first: be kind. The second: treat everyone else with the same respect you'd like to see in return. Cool? Great, post away. Comments are moderated so it might take a little while for your comment to show up. Thanks for being patient.
