Snow in June
Over at the Times Union this week, Chris Churchill pulled up some interesting local bits about the weird weather of 1816, AKA, The Year Without a Summer. A huge volcano eruption in Indonesia the year before (along with some other climate trends) resulted in cooler temperatures around the globe -- multiple late frosts killed off crops in upstate New York, and it even reportedly snowed in June in Albany.
