Creo closing

The restaurant Creo at Stuyvesant Plaza will be closing later this spring -- Brian White of White Management told the Biz Review's Megan Roger the restaurant's high-end format "has run its course." Over at Table Hopping, Steve Barnes reports that the Marello restaurant group is planning to open a Jacob & Anthony's at the spot. [Biz Review] [TU]

The statement says "CreĆ³'s high-end format "has run its course,"

The days when a restaurant lasted for decades is behind us. There is no adjustment, no try at altering the format to freshen it, the owners are just going to sweep everything out and put in another restaurant - but it will be the THIRD Italian restaurant on that site, so will anything really change? This area is packed full of Italian restaurants, good and bad. How about a good upscale steakhouse - the ones around here could use some competition.

Editors: Thanks for catching that. Fixed.

I remember the first & LAST time i had a meal there.
The a/c was SO COLD, seating uncomfortable, food choices weird , and too pricey. Even the ladies room sink sprayed water on my clothing!
