Pro soccer, from scratch

A group that includes Foursquare founder Dennis Crowley recently started a pro soccer team in Kingston, New York -- Stockade FC -- for $50k. And he's writing about the process: "If you're one of those folks who lives more than an hour from an MLS team and there's no other local club to support, give the "let's start a club from scratch" idea some thought. Consider rallying your friends, and their friends, and other folks in the community to help start a club from scratch." (He also takes a side trip into the whole promotion/relegation discussion.)
