Troy For Rent
Tuesday: The annual Troy For Rent event will be showcasing properties in downtown Troy. "A historic walking tour hosted by P. Thomas Caroll of the Burden Ironworks Museum, will showcase many unique properties currently for rent, while giving a brief history of properties in downtown Troy." Walk [Your City]
Wednesday: Walk [Your City] founder Matt Tomasula will be the featured speaker at the Albany Roundtable annual meeting at the University Club. Tomasula is an expert at conducting "DIY urbanism" projects. Wednesday 6 pm -- $40

Warehouse District architecture tour
Wednesday: The Historic Albany Foundation has a walking tour of Albany's Warehouse District. It will touch on some of the anchor buildings of the neighborhood, including the Nipper Building, the Argus Press Building, Adam Ross Cut Stone, and others. Wednesday 5:30 pm -- $10

Sushi
Monday: Yasuo and Kathy Saso will be at Different Drummer's Kitchen leading a hands-on intermediate class about making sushi. Monday 6 pm -- $65

Maximizing your garden
Wednesday: Capital Roots has a class about planning a successful garden in limited space. "Topics covered will include preparing your soil, creating an optimal garden layout, selecting space-saving and easy to grow plant varieties, trellising and vertical growing methods, and succession planting to maximize your growing season." Wednesday 6 pm, Eddy Village Garden in Cohoes -- $5

Fresh pasta
Thursday: Gio Culinary Studio has a hands-on class about making fresh pasta from scratch. "Students will learn all about making a no-fail perfect past dough, and create various pasta shapes, some by hand, and some with the assistance of a pasta machine attachment. Each pasta will be paired with its own unique sauce. We will be using all scratch ingredients, professional and traditional techniques, that can be easily duplicated at home."
