Swimming pool season has arrived.

Many of the Capital Region's municipal pools, beaches and spray pads have already opened, or will be opening soon.

After the jump, a list of town/city swimming pools, spray pads, and state beaches around the Capital Region with info about when they open, hours, and cost.

ALBANY COUNTY

Elm Avenue Park Pool Complex

Open: June 8 through September 5
Hours: Daily 11 am-8 pm (diving pool opens at noon)
Membership/Cost: Fee structure includes various individual and family season passes (ranging from $80-$230) and pay-as-you-go (ranging from $3.50-$4.75). (Non-resident guest passes range from $3.75-$7.75.)
"Open to Town of Bethlehem residents and their guests. Non-residents must be accompanied by a resident with a valid pool pass. ... All residents age 5 and older must have a pool pass to enter the pool complex." (That link above includes a bunch of details.)

Cohoes

Lansing Park Pool
Bevan Street at James Street
Open: June 27 through late August
Hours: Noon - 7 pm
Membership/Cost: Free for Cohoes residents (must show proof of residency), $5 for non-residents (and anyone without proof of residence).
"All pool patrons (resident and non-resident) must have photo identification in order to use the pool."

Colonie

Mohawk River Park Pool Complex
71 Schermerhorn Rd.
Open: June 25 through TBA
Hours: Noon to 7 pm
Membership/Cost: Residents $3 adult, $2.50 for kids age 5-12 yrs, free age 4 and younger, age 62 and older $1; non-resident guests: $7 adult, $5 5-12 yrs. There are also season and month passes available.
* There is also a parking fee of $2 for residents, $6 for guests, $1 for seniors

Guilderland

Tawasentha Park Pool
Rt 146 and Tawasentha Park
Open: Mid-June through Labor Day
Hours: Weekdays Noon - 7 pm
Membership/Cost: Daily rates are $3 adults, $1 for ages 14 and under, free for seniors (over 60 years) and kids under 5. Adult lap swims are $0.75. Season Passes: Family $100, Individual $60.
Parking at the pool also requires a pass, which residents can obtain by showing their vehicle registration. For non-residents parking is $10 per day during the week and $20 per day on the weekends.

Watervliet

Veterans Memorial Swimming Pool
Second Ave. and Thirteenth St.
Opening Monday, June 27
Hours: Monday-Saturday Noon to 6pm
Membership/cost: Residents must obtain pool pass at Watervliet Dome on 13th Street 10:30 am to 4:30 pm; Season passes are $5 for adults, $3 for kids, free for seniors. Non residents $5 per day or $25 per season
