T-Rex probably wears flip-flops because then there's no reaching down to tie laces. (And we all know arm length is a sensitive topic with Rex.)

But seriously, when I saw something bright orange with tiny upper extremities, I had to look twice. Thought maybe a certain candidate was doing some campaigning in town. ;)
