Where to see fireworks this weekend

America celebrates its 240th Independence Day this weekend, and you know what that means: There's gonna be fireworks.

After the jump, a list of where you can see fireworks displays in the Capital Region this holiday weekend, Friday on through Monday. Checking out a display that you don't see listed here? Let us know about it in the comment section.

Friday, July 1

Scotia
It's Fireworks Night at Jumpin' Jack's Drive-in in Scotia at dusk. UPDATE: The fireworks have been postponed to July 22 because of weather.

Saturday, July 2

Waterford
There will be fireworks during the Steamboat Meet at the Waterford Harbor Visitors Center. The steamboat meet starts at 10 am that day -- fireworks are at dusk.

Adirondacks
The annual 4th of July celebration in Speculator includes a parade and fireworks at the Speculator Public Beach. Rides, games, and food. Parade at 7 pm, fireworks at 9:30 pm.

Sunday, July 3

Saratoga Springs
There will be a fireworks show at both the north and the south ends of Saratoga Lake.

Glens Falls
The Glens Falls Symphony Orchestra has its annual free summer pops concert in Crandall Park, with a fireworks display following. The concert starts at 7:30 pm.

Monday, July 4

Empire State Plaza
The big annual fireworks display at the ESP starts at 9:15 pm -- it's as part of New York State's 4th of July Celebration. The events start at 3 pm and the headliner this year is the Boogie Wonder Band. The event draws a lot of people, so get there early if you want to grab a spot on or near the plaza. (You can also usually see the fireworks from various spots around the city.)

Saratoga Springs
Saratoga's All-American Celebration has fireworks at 9:30 pm. They will be launched behind the carousel in Congress Park after a live reading of the Declaration of Independence. Suggested viewing spots: Spring Street, Henry Street, Putnam Street, Union Avenue.

Joe Bruno Stadium in Troy
There will be fireworks after the Tri-City ValleyCats game against the State College Spikes. The game starts at 7 pm.

Clifton Park
Clifton Park's July 4th Celebration at Clifton Common will have fireworks at 9:20 pm. The event also includes amusement rides, a craft fair, live music, and a parade.

A few spots in the Lake George area and north...

Lake George
There will be fireworks at dusk on Lake George at Shepard Park and in Bolton Landing at dusk. You can view them from the shore or from a boat on the lake. Shepard Park will also host fireworks every Thursday during July and August at 9:30 pm.

Bolton Landing
There will be fireworks as part of Bolton Landing's 4th of July celebration, along with family-friendly entertainment. Fireworks at dusk (around 9 pm).

Ticonderoga
The "Best 4th In The North Celebration" series of events in Ticonderoga includes fireworks on July 4 at dusk (around 9:45 pm). The day also includes music, a parade, and other activities.

And if you'll be in the Catskills...

Saugerties
Saugerties has a fireworks display at dusk Cantine Field. There's also a parade earlier that day at 11 am.
