Diverted from Durham

The UAlbany men's basketball team had been scheduled to play Duke at the famed Cameron Indoor Stadium November 12 during the upcoming basketball season. But the Durham Herald Sun reports the game is off because of the executive order Andrew Cuomo issued banning non-essential state travel to North Carolina -- a response to NC's passage of a bill rolling back expanded legal protections for LGBT people. (UAlbany's field hockey team also won't be traveling to two North Carolina games.) [via Syracuse.com]
