Two bits from an interesting article by Bethany Bump over at the Times Union about an Albany school district summer program aimed at helping immigrant and refugee kids get acclimated here: Roughly 10 percent of the district's students now don't speak English as their first language, and students in the district speak 53 different languages (in addition to English).
