A handful of shows on the schedule for MASS MoCA this fall:

November 5: Big Thief
The folk rock act released its debut album to good reviews earlier this summer. $12 ahead / $18 day of / $10 students

November 18-19: The Magnetic Fields: 50 Song Memoir
Stephin Merritt and a 7-person band will be at MASS MoCA for the world premier of new album 50 Song Memoir, with one song for each year of his life (and with the band collectively playing 50 instruments). They'll play songs 1-25 the first night, songs 26-50 the second. $35 ahead / $45 day of / $65 ahead for both shows

December 10: Dinosaur Jr.
The influential 90s alt-rock band has been around so long that it's now 10 years into its comeback. And they released a new album this past summer to good reviews. $28 ahead / $36 day of

A heads up to the commentariat that Big Thief are playing at the Troy Hangar TONIGHT 8/4 as well.

Not sure about ticket availability. Their debut album is quite good, IMHO.

Very psyched to see this Dinosaur Jr. show announced. Saw them a few years back at Revolution Hall (ahhh, remember Rev Hall...[sigh]) and was pretty blown away by the shear force and power of the guitar pushed from Mascis's 3 massive stacks of amps arranged in a semi-circle around him.
