A heads up to the commentariat that Big Thief are playing at the Troy Hangar TONIGHT 8/4 as well.

Not sure about ticket availability. Their debut album is quite good, IMHO.

@KGB: Thank you for mentioning that. We should have had it in our listings.

Very psyched to see this Dinosaur Jr. show announced. Saw them a few years back at Revolution Hall (ahhh, remember Rev Hall...[sigh]) and was pretty blown away by the shear force and power of the guitar pushed from Mascis's 3 massive stacks of amps arranged in a semi-circle around him. These guys rock hard. For the uninitiated, check out this video of them on KEXP Seattle: https://youtu.be/CMjQVRWxbPI

And their cover of The Cure's "Just Like Heaven': https://youtu.be/PBsfuN7kefE

Imagine if a mixed use development - apartments, townhouses, restaurants, offices, a park - were built on the Rensselaer riverfront, and people on both sides could go to work and go out in either Albany or Renss, just by walking to a gondola station? If people had reason to traverse the Hudson - in both directions - for a reason other than commuting or getting to/from the train station, a gondola could be an awesome (and financially self-sustaining) idea, that also cuts down on the need for parking. ...
