Potential Albany flooding advisory

With a bunch of rain in the forecast for the rest of this week, the city of Albany has issued an advisory about potential flash flooding in sections of the city: "There are areas throughout the City that historically experience flooding (i.e. Central Avenue, Sheridan Hollow, Holland Avenue, Elberon Place.) We ask that you avoid these areas if possible. Residents in these areas, and throughout the City, should be prepared for excessive rainfall."

It's also asking people to report flooding or backups of water to the city water department's 24-hour dispatch center: (518) 434-5322.

The Scoop
