Plan for Church of the Holy Innocents?

The owners of Cider Belly and the Enchanted Florist have submitted a bid to buy the Church of the Holy Innocents building on North Pearl Street in Albany and convert it to an event space and for-rent commercial kitchen, TWCN's Katie Eastman reports. The building has been vacant for many years, and a demolition application is up for discussion at the next Historic Resources Commission meeting. [TWCN] [TU]

As of this evening, the demo application has been temporarily removed from the agenda (at least until October 5).

This is excellent news! I really hope it goes through, but it sounds like they have a pretty good handle on how to go forward. I'm glad the building has good neighbors, as its current owners have grossly failed in that regard.

Paula, thanks for the link. I'll be writing the commission today.
