Penn Station in a new light

Quick link follow-ups about the Cuomo admin's plan for building a new train station in NYC (the destination/origin of so many train trips at Albany/Rensselaer): The New York Times published an alternate idea, with a design by architect Vishaan Chakrabarti, that would remove Madison Square Garden, letting light into the current Penn Station space. And responses to the Cuomo-backed project, from planners and other groups, have been lukewarm, Politico reports. [NYT] [Politico NY]
