Maybe don't rake the leaves
Because it's that season: Over at the Washington Post there's a look at the idea that you shouldn't rake the leaves from your lawn -- just run 'em over with the mower and use them as mulch for the lawn.
(In related news: we've found that cutting the grass taller keeps it happier and greener -- even during this unusually dry summer.)
