Photos from the AOA cider cocktail tasting event at Nine Pin

nine pin cocktail tasting composite

Thanks to everyone who joined us at Nine Pin Cider Works Tuesday evening for a leisurely tasting of cider cocktails.

The owners of Harvest Spirits and Albany Distilling Co. were at Nine Pin's new tasting room mixing up a few cider cocktails for people to sample along with snacks. And they talked a little bit about what goes into making up different drinks and their ingredients. Then Nine Pin founder Alejandro del Peral led a tour of the cidery's expanded production space. And the evening finished with sorbet from The Dutch Udder.

It was a good time and fun to see everyone.

Here are a handful of photos of the night...

Everyone got a recipe card of the cocktails that would be sampled that night.

Was this by invitation only & where is this place please?
Glad a good time was had by all!

This was a great event!

@mg: It was open to everyone -- we posted about it in early October -- but it filled up very fast. Nine Pin is at 929 Broadway in Warehouse District in Albany.

Yet another fun event where AOA overdelivers! The drinks were yummy and it's always so interesting to chat with other readers (Elisabeth Draper I'm talking to you)

Any chance the recipes (proportions) for those cider cocktails could be shared? I want to make them all!

@chrisck: I added the recipe text at the end of the post above.

The Scoop

For a decade All Over Albany was a place for interested and interesting people in New York's Capital Region. It was kind of like having a smart, savvy friend who could help you find out what's up. AOA stopped publishing at the end of 2018.
