Speeding
There are some interesting bits in this Times Union analysis of traffic tickets issued (Google link around) in New York State. But we're not sure about how some of the takeaways regarding gender are drawn. It shouldn't be so much about the breakdown of license drivers by gender as a breakdown of vehicle miles driven by gender, right? Because there's data indicating men drive more miles than women on average. (That said, there's also data indicating men are involved in fatal passenger crashes at higher rates than women per vehicle miles driven in every age group.) [TU+] [USDOT] [IIHS]

We'd really like you to take part in the conversation here at All Over Albany. But we do have a few rules here. Don't worry, they're easy. The first: be kind. The second: treat everyone else with the same respect you'd like to see in return. Cool? Great, post away. Comments are moderated so it might take a little while for your comment to show up.
