For a decade All Over Albany was a place for interested and interesting people in New York's Capital Region. It was kind of like having a smart, savvy friend who could help you find out what's up. AOA stopped publishing at the end of 2018.

This makes me happy.
I know it's a small gesture, perhaps insignificant to many, but it gives me hope for humanity.
Someone, somewhere, creating happiness and joy out of the sad and mundane. No reason to do it - just the good and positivity at the core of people shining through.

Beautiful standing "snow" sculptures. If you're taking requests, I'd love to see a ring fort. But seriously, Douglas, you've outdone yourself. A true artist of many mediums!

There is a Zig Zag path--on the side walk--through the snow, by the same artist, on Dana Ave. The path zigs from 91 Dana Ave to 79 Dana Ave. {it took the post man 54 seconds to traverse it this afternoon}.
This installation has occurred on Dana Ave, just East of New Scotland Ave., every Snow Storm for the past ten years.
Sadly, this will be the final installation, as Madlone [or some such] is developing those properties & next year, someone will presumably be shoveling a straight path.
{Dana Ave is parallel to, & one block south of Madison.}

Thank you, Doug. I appreciate the element of finite form that will change with the weather. Reminiscent of the Starn twins's work that e pliers the interpence of time and organic structure.
And, if it looks good, it is good.
