Pine Hills.

Why?

Because it is a neighborhood. There are stores that are walkable, schools that are walkable, a library that is walkable, and all the little amenities that makes urban living wonderful.

This is tough. Helderberg gave me some fond memories though.

I love walking downtown and looking at all the interesting architecture. The iSpy contests were a great way to see things you might otherwise not notice.

Helderberg, 'cause I live there

After recently moving to Helderberg, I'm biased. To me it's such an awesome location. I can walk to loads of different places, have tons of bus lines accessible, and you still get the nice community feel of saying hi to your neighbors.

Architecturally though....it's gotta be Arbor Hill.

In total agreement with Ned -- Pine Hills is far and away my favorite neighborhood for all the reasons he outlined. And while doing that walking, you will meet some of the friendliest people in Albany. It's a neighborhood where door holding, a smile, and a "hello" to the people you meet is the standard, not the exception.

Pine Hills....it's a walkable neighborhood!

Pine Hills, because it was the first place I lived in Albany and I have a lot of fond memories of the area.

I admire the charm of many Albany neighborhoods, but for this country girl it's the rural edge of Albany, out by the golf course.

To brownstones decked out in holiday cheer,
to summer stoop-squatters who offer me beer,
to restaurants and bars within a stone's throw,
to Washington Park Lakehouse where I see a free show,
to Tulip Fest to Lark Fest to all the Fests between,
to parking, malarke-ing, friendships and romances sparking,
Center Square is home -- the neighborhood to beat.
Center Square, living here, it truly is a treat.

Center Square & Hudson/Park - Despite it's flaws, still the most walkable area in the entire Capital District.

Gotta vote for my own Mansion District neighborhood - I've moved from Saratoga to Albany in September 2010 and have been in the same spot ever since.

It's close enough to walk to restaurants, entertainment, and nightlife, but still far enough to avoid the noise & commotion. Even locally there's food & drinks at Hill Street Cafe, Excelsior Pub, and breakfast at Betty Boop's Diner. Neighbors are pleasant, with many long-time residents. Parking is no problem (except street cleaning nights). It's close to the NYS Museum, ice skating at the plaza, and Lincoln Park for warm-weather fun.

Oh and the architecture! The old-fashioned row-homes with tall windows. I particularly like a section on Elm where there's a bunch that look the same but all have different colors.

Washington Park and Lark Street! Because my family and I can get our food and shopping on then go see the tulips, play at the park or go see a concert/festival in a very pedestrian friendly area!

The mansion district- A lot of good memories there!

warehouse district for me! I enjoy the juxtaposition of older buildings in need of love with more modern companies. Also enjoying the influx of bars / distilleries / good eats, etc!

Hudson/Park! A diverse neighborhood full of caring neighbors with two fabulous parks within walking distance, numerous restaurants, a supermarket, and beautiful homes to boot.

Pinehills:
Active Neighborhood Association, great restaurants, and super walkable.
Also a great church, www.christschurchalbany.org

Pine Hills. It's where I've lived the past 10 years. Love running around Buckingham Pond.

Buckingham Pond because it's a lake and feels like a nature reserve in the heart of urban life.

Center Square because it has a community feel where you know your neighbors and business owners.

Hmm I've been here for 10 years and it's a tie between pine hills and center square. Now that I'm older and don't want to deal with parking and drunk people, pine hills, but I have nostalgia for my time in center square

Washington Park and Lark Street. Great park and great restaurants!

Pine Hills, I was born at the Brady Maternity Hospital on N. Main Ave. in 1958. We lived on S. Allen St. and went to school at V.I. After high school I traveled the country for a few years but ended up back in Albany. Went to V.V.C.C. and got a job with the city of Albany. Got married and bought a house on N. Pine Ave. My wife and I currently live on S. Allen St., the same street I grew up on. Im 58 and have come full circle in Pine HIlls.

Center Square. The architecture is unreal. Everything Albany has to offer is walkable....Lark Street, Washington Park, Empire State Plaza, etc. It makes you feel like you're in a bigger city while still feeling cozy. I moved here two years ago and I never stop telling people how much I love it!

Delaware Ave-walkable movies, stores, restaurants and good memories

My favorite neighborhood is the Pine Hills because that's where my parents live and where a few good bars are and my favorite burger joint is, CRAVE!

Helderberg! Close to everything, yet still feels quiet and neighborhood-y, easily walkable, and that area of New Scotland has become a great place for evenings out.

Broadway/Warehouse District! Soon to be the hippest neighborhood in all of albany

I love the Del-So area - with the Spectrum, the Cheese Traveler, Bake for You lots of other fun shops, it's really fun to explore.

My favorite neighborhood is the Pine Hills because that's where my parents live and where a few good bars are and my favorite burger joint is, CRAVE!

Helderberg/Woodlawn neighborhood is awesome. It's all about the people that live there. Great neighbors, great schools, walkable, all in all a fun place to live.

My favorite neighborhood is the Pine Hills because that's where my parents live and where a few good bars are and my favorite burger joint is, CRAVE!

Pine Hills - lots of memories from SUNY Albany living in Alumni Quad. :)

Mansion District: for its architecture, affordability, walkability to both downtown and Lark St, and proximity to some great little watering holes.

Center Square, home to some of the best times in my misspent youth!

My favorite neighborhood is the Pine Hills because that's where my parents live and where a few good bars are and my favorite burger joint is, CRAVE!

Center Square

So many great businesses and completely walkable

I love the Center Square area of Albany. I work near there and love walking through the neighborhood on my lunch break. The old homes are so beautiful and there are some great shops!

Center Square. I just love all the brownstones!

Center Square. Mostly because it's the neighborhood with most of its original architecture and buildings still intact. 1830s through 1880s row houses painted a mix of colors, and a commercial corridor with nothing but potential (with the right zoning adjustments, that is). The parking sucks, but hey, Washington Park is right next door. That has to count for something!

It's hard to choose, but I have to go with my home of 13 years, Center Square.

Center Square, I'm biased, because I live there.

I've always been fascinated with the handful of bungalow Spanish-style houses known as Winchester Gables in Pine Hills. The architecture is remarkable - and while being very unique, they still seem to "fit" in the neighborhood. I also love the baseball park with the CSO/infiltration gallery built underneath it. Another (truly) hidden gem of the area!

I have to put a plug in for my hood: Hudson Park. It is nice, quiet, and neighborhoody while still very close walking distance to Lark, the plaza, museums. It's a great place to raise a toddler - everything is nearby, and it's a closeknit community!

Helderberg: It's where I live and where I work.

Pine Hills or DelSo! Off the beaten path with charming businesses.

Lark Street! Love walking around, looking at the architecture, and enjoying tasty treats from the different businesses in the area.

Pine Hills - I chose to live here because of the friendliness of the neighborhood plus its walkability to places like the strip on Madison by Juniors, Pourhouse, Madison Theater, the library, etc.

Pine Hills!

For all the reasons listed by others. It is walkable, friendly, neighborly, and diverse--families, seniors, young adults. So many amenities within a five minute walk. Engaged people who care about the neighborhood and the city. Great quality of life.

Arbor Hill. Jamel Mosely has an exhibition called Arbor Hillstory I caught at the Albany Barn. Wonderful people living there.

The New Scotland strip is a walkable place for me, so one of my favorite places in Albany. Great food/drinks, too!

Washington Park is my favorite. I love watching nature change through the seasons.

Pine Hills. I like the mix of residential and commercial. Each is distinct but a short walk away from the other.

Arbor Hill. Not necessarily for what the neighborhood is currently but for what it could be. The brownstones, though many fallen into disrepair are beautiful. St Joseph's church sits proudly at the top of the skyline. The neighborhood is in prime location between a budding downtown and the growing warehouse district, and if cared for properly can be rejuvenated without the density problems of Albany's center square.

Pine Hills- It is where I lived in college and is very nostalgic for me.

Center Square- Restaurants, brownstones, washington park, and close to the capitol!

Have to agree with all the Pine Hills comments. There's a reason I havent left since moving there. It's walkable. There are plenty of options. I have friends that live there. There's even parking!

grew up on Manning and Main.
great neighborhood
convenient, friendly, plenty of parking
centrally located
could walk, Bike or Drive anywhere in town

Lark Street. Went to graduate school at NYU. On a smaller scale but the same ambience for me.

I'd have to say Center Square area, so much to do and see. Washington Park, Lark Street and the historic homes are so of my favorite things.

I'm going to throw out Central Avenue, just to be different -- for all of Albany's best hole-in-the-wall ethnic restaurants and unexpectedly delicious things I've found while working around there.

I love the Lark Street area! I like the aesthetic of the street and all of the shops. It's a perfect place to go for a stroll in the spring/summer seasons and it's close to other fun areas in Albany - Pearl Street, Pine Hills etc. Perfect location!

Washington Park is the best! Having a big park during the summer is the best especially with all the great festivals that happen throughout the year.

Biased, since it’s the neighborhood our family decided to call home, but my vote has to go out to DelSo or Delaware Ave more broadly. Incredibly walkable, diverse, friendly, and with excellent access to the rest of our fair city via CDTA. Nothing beats a stroll to Bake for You prior to stopping by the library, or a nice meal at Nicole’s or New World Bistro before enjoying that movie at the Spectrum, or picking up some provisions for the week at Cardonas or the Cheese Traveler while getting your four legged friends some exercise…so much to do, so little time.

Center Square. I fell in love there, grew up there, found my career and passion there. I moved recently to the 'burbs and miss it often.

Pine Hills. Fond memories of being young an single an living in a walkable neighborhood before moving to the 'burbs.

Center Square- Great and diverse restaurants and Washington Park. I work in the neighborhood and I love being greeted by the brownstone buildings it reminds me of parts of Brooklyn. I will soon be a resident of this neighborhood. I currently live in Pine Hills but the college students ruined it for me.

I love Helderberg. I love the small homes there and the great strip of bars/restaurants.

Although I have to say Pine Hills, Downtown, and Center Square are also favorites.

That's the great thing about Albany. Lots of neighborhoods for lots of different experiences.

What a great prize! Predictably, I'll go with DelSo. I've got the coolest neighbors, am central to everything and my children can walk to school.

Wow, this is a tough one. I would have to say the New Scotland corridor. It has so much to offer walkable, bikeable, multiple bus routes, great stores and shops, awesome elementary school & library, welcoming neighbors, . . . .

Helderberg. We can walk to amazing restaurants, hop on the buss to get elsewhere, and know our neighbors.

Beverwyck, because it was first.

Delaware Ave neighborhood because of the local neighborhood association, shops, great people, movie theater library, farmers market and its all walkable or bikeable so I don't need to drive to enjoy it.

Hands down Park South (specifically Dana Ave)!!! My neighborhood is the best because I can walk to everything! Within a 3 block radius I have a 24 hour grocery store, hospital, doctor offices, Stewarts, Starbucks and all the great businesses of lark street! Also, by far my favorite part of the neighborhood is the diversity, I can walk down Dana Avenue and hear dozens of different languages and chat with my neighbors who are from all over the world. In addition to the large refugee/immigrant community, there is a mix of blue and white color workers, families, college students and elderly! There is a strong sense of neighborhood and community, and people are generally friendly and nice to each other, it's a great place to live!

Del-so!

I like the Helderberg/New Scotland neighborhood. Good food, drinks, libraries and pretty walkable.

Center Square - walkable, pretty, and fun

I love Buckingham Pond. Quiet streets with a great place to walk nearby, and easy access to 85.

Center Square
Close to Lark without being on Lark.
Close to the ESP without being right there.
Hop and jump from Washington Park.
Close to the Palais Royale.
Close to so many restaurants and shops, including a grocery store.

Yet at the same time a lovely vibrant "neighborly" neighborhood.

Melrose. I live there and it is the perfect balance of residential family homes with easy walking access to grocery stores, bars, restaurants, library, parks, etc. There are no places of business in the entire neighborhood to it feels very much like its own bubble with a nice family feel, lots of wonderful people with their dogs yet a lot of young people as well. It's the best!

I would say Center Square. Enjoy looking at the architecture and the brownstones. The diversity of the people when out on the town is what still makes Albany a great place.

I love Pine Hills because it offers so many things that I like about small city living. We are able to walk to the grocery store or to a restaurant, but we also feel like we have our own space in our home.

I like Pine Hills.. there's food coffee and beer and each street has a different feel to it. Great for running and walking around with a great community center and park for kids.

Definitely the Washington Park/Center Square neighborhood. When Im there, I feel so happy and alive! With all of the lovely restaurants, cute shops, Larkfest, Tulipfest....and the stunning archtecture! I love it so much, Im currently working with a realtor to try to move there!

I'm gonna go with downtown because I live there. It's been slowly growing with new businesses opening up, and what other neighborhood has cider belly donuts?? I am hopeful that it continues to grow and begins to get the recognition it deserves!

Del Sol

Buckingham Lake - particularly the north/east portion that is closer to downtown. Great streets with nicely maintained old houses (20s and 30s), trees, walkability to dining and amenities on Madison, walkability to a great park (Buckingham), friendly neighbors, and more trees. A quick bus ride from downtown, Center Square, etc., but also a driveway to park in. Best of all worlds.

Definitely Center Square - I love admiring the architecture.

The Mansion District - great architecture and diversity

Although it's on the outskirts of what most would consider Albany - I love the Dunes! Suburbia mixed with college with a beautiful preserve for activity and outdoor fun.

I'm saying Pine Hills. Lived all over there during my time at SUNY loved the community atmosphere

I love to spend time in the Warehouse district! Nine Pin and Wolff's Biergarten are two of my favorite places.

Buckingham Lake is the best because of the lake ! It is a wonderful walkable neighborhood in between two great shopping and dining districts and two great public libraries !

Center Square! Everyone is so nice, and the proximity to the Capitol, Lark Street and Washington Park can't be beat!

I currently live in Helderberg and enjoy it, but never loved it. I just learned that I'll be moving out of state, and that makes me realize that I actually do have a quite a fondness for this neighborhood and will miss it, especially the Gastropub.

Definitely Center Square! We moved here years ago from Saratoga Springs and there is nothing prettier than the brownstones lit up from sunrise in the summer. And, it is walkable to so many great places in the city.

Lark st, because it was my first real introduction to the city when I arrived here for college. It somehow had a big city feel coupled with an innate quaintness. An edgy-yet-safe place where you could either get lost, or found - dealer's choice.

The Mandarin District! It's walkable to so many of my favorite places.

Hard to choose between Washington Park Historical District and Pine Hills. Both have a lot of things to do within walking distance- great food places, the library, the grocery stores and the buses. I live currently at Washington Park but I guess I miss Pine Hills as it was somewhat safer! Also love the Madison avenue strip between N Allen and N Main.

Buckingham pond..because i want to live there

The Helderberg/ NewScoltand Ave Area is outstanding! Two of the best sushi places Albany has to offer are on the same block! In the mood for pizza?? There's not just one but at least 5 different places to find your favorite style! Craft beer your thing? There are two solid places to sample! It has the neatest wine store ever, an awesome Italian deli & library!!
And It's all super walkable!!!

Center Square. I love being close to Lark, Washington Park, and a short walk to downtown/pearl street.

Warehouse District : bars, brewery, distillery, cider , etc

Center Square. Memories.

Center Square. It's walkable, near parks and restaurants, and downtown venues.

New Scotland, because I live there and it is great! love my little strip and the dive bars.

Pine hills. It was the neighborhood I moved to when I first got to Albany. Everything you need is close by. Washington Park is within walking distance. Plus I didn't feel nervous going out after dark.

Delaware Ave-walkable movies, stores, restaurants and good memories

Washington Park area is fantastic. All you want and need with a dash of fun

New Scotland! Neighborhood feel with plenty of walkability

Washington Park/Center Square... especially now that the weather is warming up it's so nice to be able to take a walk through the park and look at all the lovely old brownstones!

Washington Park. Gorgeous in every season.

Tough call but I'll go with Del-sol area. It's the link between my favorite city and my favorite suburb.

Lark street because of friends and some excellent businesses!

Delso!

the warehouse district is sure getting interesting.

Center square because of the architecture and vibe.

Pine Hills because this was the first neighborhood that I moved to on my own with my boyfriend (who is now my husband). So many good memories in Pine Hills.

Center Square! Close to everything, safe, and affordable. Neighbors and small business owners are friendly and the community is dog friendly!

The brownstones in Center Square are amazing :)

Not an easy one. But since it's my most visited, and particularly since...ROAD DIET! Guess I'll go with upper Madison.

Pine Hills: outstanding places to walk, eat and drink

Center Square and Washington Park. Awesome park, beautiful brownstones and great shops.

Warehouse district. There is so much potential for this area to take advantage of the historic buildings and their beautiful details.

Washington Park area. I love the architecture on Englewood, Thurlow, State And Willett.

Center Square. I love being part of this community. Lots of great, friendly neighbors on each block.

Center Square/Washington Park...there are beautiful buildings and I love walking through the park.

Pine Hills! Great homes, wonderful neighborhood feel, and walking distance to so many useful and fun things. I love it!

Center Square.

My favorite place to live in Albany was center square. Sandwiched between lark and the empire plaza and NYS Capitol and walkable
to so many cool places... downtown, the park, upper Madison corridor, etc. plus the historic brownstones. Just a great section of the Capital City.

I love Washington park...with the beautiful historic Architecture on state and (especially) willett, and the community and energy of the park, it makes for a great place to be!

Krank Park. I had an Aunt Betty Krank. She lived outside of Philly and drove a Chrysler K car at 10 miles less than the whatever the legal speed limit was anywhere. She'd come visit us every summer--the trip took her like 9 hours and there was probably a traffic jam from Albany to Manayunk behind her. Aunt Krank always brought us a K-car trunk full of Pennsylvania Dutch ginger snaps that would break off molars and bicuspids. She refused to stay in our house after being attacked by our rooster named Goldy and once, she claimed, a parakeet. We never owned a parakeet. She stayed at a local motel that nobody ever stayed at. Even the owners seem confused what she was doing there. We would feed the ginger snaps to an infirmed and grumpy pony the neighbors owned and ignored and the creature would turn into the Black Stallion for a few hours. The next day Aunt Krank would force us to drive slowly to Bennington to buy the maple sugar candy she would bring back to her colleagues at the Philadelphia Electric Company, where molars and bicuspids were also probably lost. When I lived in Philadelphia for a few months, doing little else than wondering why I was living in Philadelphia, I would imagine an office of cracked teeth candy suckers calculating my monthly power bill. Come to think of it, that's my only real memory of Philadelphia. I admit Aunt Krank wasn't my favorite Aunt at the time, but lately I notice shards and specks of her DNA popping up within my personality as I grow older. As a teenager I was once accidentally shot with a shotgun by a kid named Corey. Only recently has some of the missed duck shot started to surface like little braille bumps in my arm. It's kind of like that, although I miss her and I don't miss Corey. If there is a Corey in the room I usually will leave. But that's another story. Anyway, I've never been to Krank Park, I just like the name. Someday I will go over there and drive real slow for awhile. There usually is something good most places, you just have to slow down and find it.

The warehouse district- love that I can easily take the bus to grab a [locally brewed] drink or two, and happy to see development in some of the empty buildings! So much more potential!

The area by the Spectrum. Great combo of Albany Public Library, movie theater, great food choices.....

I have always loved Center Square. A great neighborhood with a vibrant citizenry, next to Washington Park, restaurants, bars, and more, all walkable within minutes!

Helderberg/New Scotland. We have a double lot, which creates a huge backyard for being in the city. We are able to garden & relax, while still being in walking distance to great restaurants, the Wine Shop, the library, and of utmost importance--Stewart's.

I have lived in Second Avenue and Hudson/Park, love Center Square and DelSo, but now I live closest to Dunes- so I'm going to cast my vote for Dunes. Their unique geological history as well as historical significance ("Southern Life Northern City" is a fascinating read!) stands out to me. As well as the fact that I always like where I currently live :)

I like Park South. Great neighborhood close enough to walk to everything, right on the Park, but just enough distance from Center Square to be peaceful. Plus, off street parking, which anyone who had to dig out of the recent blizzard truly appreciates! Also, it is equidistant drone Helderberg and Center Square so all of the amenities of those neighborhoods are at my fingertips. I can choose from three libraries, two Price Choppers, tons of restaurants, several parks or just walk down three blocks to the ESP and enjoy the skating and the artwork. Best kept secret in Albany is Park South!

The mansion neighborhood is my favorite. I lived across from the Free School when I first came to Albany to go to school. It still seems special based on the community efforts that I see when I return.

I like the area around Quackenbush Square. Visitor's Center, Pump Station, and all the cool places on Broadway nearby.

Pine Hills! Beautiful old houses, and totally walkable. Can't wait for spring to finally get here to get outside more!

Melrose. Just outside of the popular pine hills, and an easy walk to the end of Madison. I've been living here for almost a year and I have to say that the Melrose area is the best neighborhood that I've ever lived in in Albany. Thanks for doing this giveaway!

As a non-Albany resident, I know I always find myself returning to Washington Park and the Warehouse District. Natural spaces (some manicured, some more like parking lots by the river), beautiful buildings (both of the commercial, residential, and industrial varieties) and tasty food and craft beverages. What more could you need?

Hudson Park

It has history; it's always changing; it's central location lets me walk to things I need and get to where I want to go.

Center Square - Specifically the southern end (closer to Park Ave/Lincoln Park) because it has the benefits of Center Square but with easy parking.

I agree with the Washington Park fans - lots of cool festivals, beautiful running loop, and so magical during the holidays!

I love living in Center Square. On a nice day you can walk to any place in the city. Having so many bars, restaurants, and little shops within walking distance is so convenient and gives me a real sense of community.

Center Square for sure. The architecture and history are so fascinating.

Has to be Delaware Ave. So many great places to walk to, diverse population...can't beat it.

For me it is a tie between Center Square & the South End-around the Schuyler Mansion. The history in those old buildings is amazing!

Warehouse District- I love 9 Pin, Druthers and Biergarten. It is an exciting, growing area.

Center Square, its close to everything, and very walkable with nice sites along the way.

I'll pick Pine Hills

Helderberg/ NewScoltand Ave ... best of the early 'burbs circa 1930

Center Square...everything you could want within walking distance & it feels like its own little world.

I just moved to the area last year but I have two different favorites. I love the warehouse district for going out and grabbing a local drink or food with friends. And I also love the Washington park area to walk around and enjoying.
Also it was my bday on April fools day so extra points for that? :)

The Delaware Ave neighborhood because the Spectrum!

My favorite would be the center square district. I love Lark Street and walking around Washington Park. And my favorite sushi spot Shogun is in that area.

Mansion District. It is a close walk to the pool and to work!

Melrose, because you can have a house with yard, but not to far from whatever's happening All Over Albany

My favorite is Center Square, where I just moved. It is a fairly central location that allows me to walk to work, the grocery store and to most nightlife options.

Center Square. I just love the architecture there.

Washington Park! Great for biking and the tulips in May!

The Warehouse District! Delicious foods, neat store fronts, and a lovely patina.

Delaware Avenue area - I grew up there and my parents still live there and it has been great to see all of the growth in this area.

Yet another vote for Center Square--walkability, community, retail, dining, nightlife, and architecture!

Washington Park

Love the Center Square area with so many bars and restaurants and beautiful Washington Park (plus Park Playhouse shows!).

Western Ave - College of St Rose neighborhood

Washington Park is the center of a beautiful neighborhood

This is a shameless plug for the Historic Albany Foundation. I enjoy the programs they present, focusing on a different part of the city each time. I have learned a lot about neighborhoods I might not otherwise have known, or been aware of.

I've been on a walking tour focusing on mid-century modern style architecture around the Buckingham pond neighborhood, which was great, and a walk along Englewood Place/State Street/Willett, pointing out the gorgeous architectural features and history of the buildings, the history of Lincoln Park, and even the Rapp Road Community Historic District.

My favorite neighborhood right now is Arbor Hill - there is history I want to learn about and beautiful architecture. I recently went to the Ten Broeck Mansion for the first time, and learned that its original name was Arbor Hill.Lovely.

That reminds me, I have to renew my HAF membership!

Center Square.
Because of the architecture.

DelSo- Since I moved across the river to Troy 8 years ago, DelSo is the only part of Albany that I consistently go back to and miss being nearby. The Spectrum and NWBB are a favorite go to for date night.

Helderberg area. We have loved living in this neighborhood because of the friendly vibe, walkability, and restaurants.

The Center Square neighborhood! Good food, great drinks, and the most adorable streets in Albany.

My favourite neighborhood is Melrose! We've only been here 10 months, but it is truly a neighborhood in the full sense of the word and concept. Everyone is friendly and in times of need people seem to reach out to help others, as was most evident with the big snow storm a couple of weeks agog. You can also walk to everything you need! Park's, restaurants, stores! Love it!

Washington Park. Love the summer theater productions!

The Mansion District! Great community atmosphere and location between Downtown and Center Square

I live outside Albany but come into town frequently to watch the sadly departing Albany Devils. It may not count as a neighborhood but downtown Albany is my favorite. I usually park on Broadway or State Street and really enjoy walking to the arena and taking in the downtown.

Washington Park. Beautiful, outdoors, peaceful.

Madison Ave along Washington Park. Close to Lark and the park activites, but not as hustle bustle with traffic and drunk noise.

Buckingham Pond- used to live around there, walking distance to restaurants etc

Washington park! Great place to walk or have a picnic

Upper New Scotland road area, walking distance to bars and resturants

Delaware ave area, love spectrum 8 theatre!

Lark street!

Washington Park. Even with all the dog poop.

The mansion district- got lost over there not too long ago...and fell in love with it.

I love Center Square - the restaurants, bars and overall vibe are my favorite part of Albany!
