I say this with the utmost respect...schenectady hosts some of the best community events---they are small town America at its best--neighborly, no glitz, a reward for its citizens. Nothing better than the November Night Time holiday parade featuring nearly every truck and kids dance teams in the county interspersed with home made floats complete with handmade signs on poster board. This SummerNight event is equally "down home". Combine this with the great efforts made by the Metroplex (essentially schenectady's BID with Bucks), schenectady deserves the Most Improved City award. :-) plenty of problems, poverty and uncertainty, but they persist and have made great strides .

Say Something!

We'd really like you to take part in the conversation here at All Over Albany. But we do have a few rules here. Don't worry, they're easy. The first: be kind. The second: treat everyone else with the same respect you'd like to see in return. Cool? Great, post away. Comments are moderated so it might take a little while for your comment to show up. Thanks for being patient.
