Self-healing potholes

We might have a few streets in mind for this: At The Verge, Angela Chen looks at research into "self-healing" pavement that could close cracks in asphalt before potholes form. Also: There's research into inoculating concrete with bacteria that can produce calcium carbonate, so that the microbes could theoretically help seal cracks as they appear. [The Verge]
