Albany Comic Con 2017 spring
The Albany Comic Con returns this Sunday, June 4 at the Radisson Hotel on Wolf Road. Tickets are $8 ahead online / $10 day of at the door.
The con includes comics artists and authors, exhibitors, collectibles, and a cosplay fashion show. Blurbage:
The areas best dealers, and professionals all come together to make the show a full blown convention, but with the intimacy you can't find at the larger national conventions. We promote two shows a year, one in the Spring, The other in the fall, close to Halloween. It's the shows mission to continue to grow the comics medium and expand audience awareness of comic books, and the fun and excitement they provide.
Among the lineup of authors and artists is Steve Orlando, a writer for DC. Here's an AV Club interview with him from last fall about the many books he's been working on -- including Midnighter and Apollo, about a pair of gay superheroes.
Say Something!
We'd really like you to take part in the conversation here at All Over Albany. But we do have a few rules here. Don't worry, they're easy. The first: be kind. The second: treat everyone else with the same respect you'd like to see in return. Cool? Great, post away. Comments are moderated so it might take a little while for your comment to show up. Thanks for being patient.
