"I want lower-level soccer to be like operating the muffin shop in your town"
Reading through this article about plans/desires/hopes to expand professional soccer in small markets around the country -- along with the success of small teams such as Stockade FC in Kingston -- this caught our eye (emphasis added): "As USL begins its efforts to launch Division 3, it has visited markets with populations below 100,000 like Greenville, South Carolina, Albany, New York, and Portland, Maine..." (If you're one of the people they met with, give us a shout. We're curious to hear about it.) [FourFourTwo]

I've wondered about how it would work to found a team in Albany. I figure if Kingston can work, why not here? I know Dennis Crowley is quite the entrepreneur, and it wouldn't be easy, but I would love to get involved somehow.
