Where to get a thorough interior cleaning for a car?

car steering wheelMichael emails:

I am inquiring about a good car detailing service. Any suggestions? ... My car took a beating on vacation at the beach!

Once sand gets in the car it can be hard to get out. Also, it's kind of amazing how different a car feels after a good interior cleaning.

So, got a suggestion for Michael? Please share! And sentence or two about why you're suggesting a place or service can be helpful.

I've never been myself, but have heard rave reviews from friends about this guy: https://www.facebook.com/Dr.Detailcardetailing/

Hoffman's provides interior services at some of their full service locations. I've used Boxley's in Saratoga for a real deep cleaning experience. They have a location in Latham now: https://boxleys.com/locations.html

I have had huge success with Mario's Auto Detailing 518-813-7310. Our dog had the trifecta of dog messes in the car and Mario got it ALL out. He does an amazing job at a great price.

Thanks for the responses. I hooked up with Dr. Details. Saw his quality work. Appointment wait shows he knows his stuff. Prices quoted was reasonable.

Mr. K's Carpet Cleaning (518) 355-9193 did the interior of my car at a great price and the car looked like new. Plus, he didn't judge the mess:) I brought my car to him.

I ride every day to work, and also after work for exercise. I love the concept of being a person who happens to ride a bike. There's a level of bike riding, with the high performance gear and sleek clothing, that makes riding seem like its not for everyone. I try to avoid markers like that, and always wear regular clothing/shoes/backpack with dumpy-looking bike. One concession is bike gloves.
